Retirees

The Machinists Lodge 822 Retiree Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 10:30a.m. at the Machinists Lodge 822, 2929 North 5th Street, Quincy, Illinois.

The meetings are informative of what is going on in the union and political issues and all the worldly news, that are very important to retirees. The object of the Retiree club shall be for fellowship for retired members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and to assist the Union when and where needed.

Any Machinists union retired in good standing with the IAM&AW is eligible for a membership in the Retirees Organization and spouse or friend of said member is also eligible for membership. This is a good way to still have fellowship with people you have worked with for years and can now have leisurely time to sit and spend time with them without the work environment and bosses to tell you that you have to quit talking and get back to work. After each meeting there is a carry in luncheon, with the meat furnished by the Machinist Lodge 822. Bingo is played after each meeting.

If you would like to check the Club out, come to a meeting and see for yourself how much fun you will have. You can also call the President of the Club, Wayne Hempelman at 217-222-4365, or call  Jeannie Thomas at the Machinists office at 217-222-0394 or Email
