IAM&AW District 9 implemented a program in the fall of 2006 offering a bounty to the first individual who gave the District a name of an individual working at a non-union facility and as a result of, the district successfully obtains the appropriate numbers of signatures needed (65 percent) to file a petition for a Union election with the NLRB.  District 9 also offered an additional bounty to the same individual after the Union election was won, and the bargaining unit was certified.

 

So as a result of this quest Local Lodge 822 member did both of the above and received his bounty check at the Local Lodge meeting held on July 03, 2007.  The lucky member receiving this check is Brother Steve DeMoss, employee of Knapheide Mfg. Co.  He is receiving his check from District 9’s Assistant Directing Business, Brother Tony Repetto.  Also in the picture is Lodge 822’s President, Brother Larry Adams and Organizer, Brother Mike Musgrove who handled organizing the new bargainin
